In this community discussion following Leslie Chan’s keynote, the panelists will report on their work covering various aspects towards equity in scholarly practice and communication. The discussion will revolve around examples of how equity in research capacity can be achieved, multilingualism as a means to decolonize academia, and how Indigenous knowledge can complement scholarly knowledge systems while being protected from misappropriation.
